AFDA's 2nd Anniversary Dinner

What a way to celebrate our 2nd year! The Shuck Shack, located on the eastside of Austin hit it out of the park for this anniversary party! The converted house provided the perfect Gulf Coast/southern feel for our dinner. 19 of us dined at a extra long wooden table and gorged on seafood, sides, and drinks. While waiting, a few diners took to the bocci ball and horseshoe courts in the restaurant's huge outdoor space. Our waitress, though a bit overwhelmed by the crew, brought over complimentary shots to kick it up a notch. We all agreed the shack will become a staple in our dining lives. The indoor bar also provides the perfect place to grab a beverage any time, day or night. Though this place has only been open 6 weeks (same owners as Lustre Pearl http://www.lustrepearlaustin.com/) they seem to be getting it right. You even get a take home koozie if you order a beer while dining. Be sure to wander their way, and meet John if you can. He's the man.

Top Picks: New Orleans BBQ Shrimp, Hushpuppies, Crab cakes
