AFDA 3rd Annual New Year's Eve

December 31, 2009

Over the past two years, AFDA members have gathered and eaten at restaurants all over Austin. It has been a time to share fantastic dishes, and be with those we love. This year, the members of AFDA were able to pass on that feeling to those who do not always have such an opportunity. Members donated non-perishable items to Cartias of Austin, everything from canned goods to cleaning products. We were able to donate 66 pounds of items, which will allow individuals and families to have warm meals, full bellies, and much needed household items. It was a great way to ring in the New Year. Here are a few more fantastic Austin non-profits that can always use a bit more generosity. Have a very happy and healthy New Year! Here's to 2010, and all that it will bring.

  1. Hey! What a cool group you've got! I'd love to know more about it, as well as including you on the Austin food blogger list I keep up and manage. Is there a good e-mail address I could add to the contact list? Shoot me an e-mail at abroyles AT statesman DOT com.

    Thanks!
