The East Side of Austin has been producing some knock-outs lately, and one of those happens to be Justine's. It is rare to find affordable authentic French cuisine in the city, but Justine's nails it. Although we waited about an hour an a half for our table, it was worth it (they don't take reservations on the weekends). The fully stocked bar offers classics like the French 77, but can whip up whatever you like. This is definitely a place catered toward tables of 2 and 4, but the waitstaff tried their best to accomodate our group of 9. It seems like they're still getting the hang of it, but I'm sure with the crowd this place draws, they'll have it down in no time. We dined on favorites like escargot, artichoke, Steak Frittes, and more. The French Onion Soup was a hit all around. The smells, old world appeal, and food will suck you and and spit you out full and happy. I recommend it for date night, or if you're looking for a foreign escape! Check it out if you're heading East.
Top Picks: Escargot, Charcuterie Plate, French Onion Soup, Pork Chop, Scallops, Chocolate Pear Tart
